10 day trip around Morocco

Morocco

Morocco has been possibly one of my favourite countries to photograph. If you have the possibility to visit a few places, or even do a road trip like we did, you will enjoy the contrast between cities, through stunning landscapes. We visited: Tanger, Chefchaouen – well known as the blue pearl, Fez, Sahara Desert and Marrakech.

Read on to find about our 10 days in Morocco tour. Where to stay, see & do, a Fez to Marrakech desert tour, the Morocco travel map and much more.

Stay

↠ Chefchaouen: We also enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Riad

↠ Fez: We stayed at this stunning Riad – awesome building, great food and super friendly staff.

↠ Sahara Desert: Sahara desert day tours are an excellent option if you want to do a tour in the desert (and so many amazing places you’ll discover on the way there).

↠ Marrakech: We really enjoyed Riad Origenes in Marrakech – good to know: they serve alcohol 😉

Eat & Drink

Chefchaouen:
↠ Enjoy the sunset at Aladdin restaurant – great views and tasty food.

Marrakech:
↠ Go to Nomad – trendy cute little place (we went a couple of times!).
↠ Souk Kafe – another must in Marrakech – either enjoy a non-alcoholic cocktail or have some food on the rooftop terrace.

Se & Do

Fez:
↠ Check out the world-famous tanneries where they colour animal skins.
Al-attarine madrasa is a must if you visit the city of Fez

↠ We really enjoyed an afternoon at Be Riad – a stunning piece of architecture

Chefchaouen – as well known as the “Blue Pearl” due to the different shades of blue that invade the whole city

Fes is a northeastern Moroccan city often referred to as the country’s cultural capital

About a third of our 10 days in Morocco tour was the trip to Sahara. We went on a private Fez to Marrakech desert tour with Desert Day Tours
