It’s nearly Christmas time and one of the things I enjoy the most (not just in Christmas) is wandering around and discovering the most creative markets full of crafty goodies hosting the capital’s best independent designers and makers. Below is a list with my favourite London Christmas markets for this winter. Enjoy! and buy independent.
Crafty Fox Market, London’s most-loved creative marketplace. It will take place at The Department Store in Brixton with 80 talented traders (15-16 December). Crafty Fox Market was founded to support talented emerging designer-makers and artists with opportunities to showcase and sell their work. It hosts quality markets in a variety of brilliant venues across London, collaborating with inspiring guest curators all across the creative sector. Free entry.
London’s alternative festive experience. Solo Craft Fair takes place in the Idolise Spiegeltent every Saturday and Sunday showcasing the best local artisans selling a range of art, jewellery, ceramics, kids clothing and more. Think affordable gifts and accessories, unique crafts, unusual homeware and other Christmas gifts. Entry £2-£5.
Notonthehighstreet, the online home of thoughtful gifts, will be hosting a pop-up this December, showcasing products from over 200 Notonthehighstreet sellers. You’ll find a range of personalised Christmas gifts, customisable jewellery, a selection of limited-edition and one-off artisanal items. The pop-up will take place from 3-24 December at Westfield London White City.
Every weekend from 24 November until 23 December, Wimbledon’s Piazza will be transformed into a festive market place featuring over 40 local artisans selling homewares, art, crafts, clothing, accessories, Christmas decorations, stocking fillers and cakes. Enjoy browsing the many stalls under twinkling lights and festive music.
